Cosmetology, Esthetics or Manicuring

Have you always wanted to be a teacher? If you are a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician or manicurist our instructor program could be for you. You will learn the most effective teaching methods and brush up on your technical skills.

The curriculum includes: Orientation & review, Intro to teaching, Course outline & development, lesson planning, teaching techniques, teaching aids, developing, administering & grading examinations, Law and rules, record keeping, administration, Assisting in clinic & theory classes and practice teaching.

Instructor Curriculum Requirements

• Students must have a high school diploma or GED
• Students must have a license in the discipline in which they will instruct.
• Students must enroll two weeks prior to their start date
• Orientation is from 10:00 am. to 2:00 pm on your start date
• Students must attend Saturdays, unless they have proof of a prior work commitment

Class Schedules

Days @ 35 Hours per week

• Takes 6.75 months or 29 weeks to complete
• Tuesday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Days @ 28 Hours per week

• Takes 8.5 months or 36 weeks to complete
• Tuesday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Early Evening @ 30.5 Hours per week

• Takes 8 months or 33 weeks to complete
• Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Part-Time Evening @ 20 Hours per week

• Takes 12 months or 50 weeks to complete
• Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
